Free printable lined paper

A clean ruled page for class notes, journal entries, and everyday writing. Pick a comfortable line spacing and download only the pages you need.

Find a comfortable line spacing

Choose 5 mm for compact handwriting, 7 mm for general notes, or 10 mm when larger handwriting needs more room. These are metric spacings; they are not exact US college-ruled or wide-ruled standards. Print one test sheet to see which feels right.

Use the margin for small reminders

Each sheet includes a vertical margin line inside the printable area. Use the narrow space for question numbers, keywords, or marks to revisit later. Keep the wider area for your main writing so the page stays easy to scan.

Match the paper in your printer

A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. US Letter measures 8.5 × 11 inches. Choose the size that matches your paper, then print the downloaded PDF at Actual size. Soft colors keep the ruling secondary to your writing; gray works well for black-and-white printing.

Can I print it double-sided?

If your printer supports duplex printing, download two or more pages and enable double-sided printing. The margin stays on the left of each page; the template does not alternate binding margins.

Will there be a logo on the paper?

No. Downloaded pages contain only the selected paper template, without a Paperkit logo or watermark.

Is Paperkit free to use?

Yes. Every template and download is free, including personal and classroom use. There is no account to create and no watermark on your PDF.
