Free printable Cornell notes
Give your notes a clear home: cues on the left, notes on the right, and a summary at the bottom. Adjust the page size, spacing, and color before downloading.
Take notes in the larger column
Write the topic and date at the top. During a lesson or while reading, use the larger right column for key ideas, worked examples, and questions you want to revisit. Leave a little space between topics so you can add details later.
Turn the cue column into a review tool
After taking notes, add short questions or keywords in the left column. Cover the notes on the right and try answering from the cues. Then uncover your notes to check what you remembered and mark anything that needs another look.
Finish with a short summary
Use the bottom section to explain the page in a few sentences in your own words. Choose 7 mm lines for everyday notes or 10 mm for roomier handwriting. Landscape offers more width for diagrams, while portrait is an easy fit for a binder.
Can I change the column widths?
This template uses a fixed cue column, about a quarter of the usable width, and a larger notes column. Page size, orientation, line spacing, and ink color are adjustable.
Do you store my notes?
You write on the paper after printing. Paperkit does not ask you to enter or upload your notes.
Is Paperkit free to use?
Yes. Every template and download is free, including personal and classroom use. There is no account to create and no watermark on your PDF.
