Free printable graph paper
A grid gives calculations, diagrams, and sketches a little structure. Make a sheet with the square size you need, in A4 or US Letter.
Choose a grid that fits the task
Start with 5 mm squares for equations, charts, and detailed sketches. Try 7 mm when you want more writing room, or 10 mm for larger numbers and classroom activities. Every fifth line is slightly heavier, so it is easier to count across the sheet.
Keep the printed scale accurate
Download the PDF, select the matching paper size in your printer settings, and print at 100% or Actual size. Fit to page can shrink the squares. Measure ten 5 mm squares with a ruler: they should span 50 mm. If not, check the print scale before printing more copies.
Leave room for the page
The grid sits inside a 14 mm margin to avoid most printers’ unprintable edges. Portrait is useful for notebook pages; landscape gives wider charts and drawings more space. Use pencil gray for a neutral grid, or a soft color to separate printed lines from your writing.
Is the grid exactly 5 mm?
The PDF uses physical page dimensions, with your selected spacing measured in millimeters. Printed spacing depends on selecting Actual size or 100% in the print dialog.
Can I print several copies?
Yes. Select a page count before downloading, or choose the number of copies in your printer dialog. All copies in one download have the same settings.
Is Paperkit free to use?
Yes. Every template and download is free, including personal and classroom use. There is no account to create and no watermark on your PDF.
